Michele
I was first introduced to Bikram yoga in 2003 but only decided to start practicing consistently as of November 2008. The more I practiced, the more I fell in love with this yoga. I saw so many changes in my mind, body and overall well being that it led me to Teacher Training in Spring 2010. Being a mom and working full time in the film industry, this yoga constantly reminds me the importance of patience. Patience that YES, one day, my forehead will touch my knee! Mentally and physically, I truly feel that this yoga is the best thing one can do for themselves. I am eternally grateful to be able to share this beautiful practice with others. Expect to see me in class with you every day. (Mostly at the 6am classes!) When in class, I always remind myself of a quote I heard at training. "If you fall out, you're human. If you get back in, you're a yogi." I consider myself a yogi, so come join me.
Teaching Style
I teach with passion, compassion, humor and style all the time, keeping a smiling happy face. I encourage everyone who comes out to my class to leave their judgement at home, work hard, have fun and always remember to breathe.
Favorite Posture
It's a tie between Standing Head to Knee and Standing Bow. Both are such beautiful postures and both where I have seen the most progress in my body. Everyday my leg kicks up a little higher in Standing Bow, and everyday, I can hold my forehead to knee just a little bit longer. They both require so much physical and mental determination.
Least Favorite Posture
Toe Stand. I constantly struggle to keep my balance and always end up falling out.
