Maggie
Being a Physician in China, Maggie is very interested in the medical benefits Bikram yoga brings to practitioners. Before knowing Bikram yoga, Maggie was often seen in the swimming pool and gym. However, she was regularly bothered by some joint pain which first started when she worked in a hospital emergency department, especially after a night shift. She thought she would give hot yoga a try. After a few months of practice, to Maggie's amazement, her arthralgia was diminishing! Since that time, Maggie became deeply endeared to Bikram yoga and eventually decided to become an instructor. After attending teacher training and leading classes, Maggie has gained a profound understanding of Bikram yoga. She feels rewarded when she sees her student's health and well being improve from practicing Bikram yoga. Maggie would love to invite you to explore the health benefits Bikram yoga brings to every practitioner. Please join her on a journey to physical, emotional, and spiritual well being.
Teaching Style
Maggie's teaching style is cheerful, passionate, and encouraging. Based on clear dialogue her instruction focuses on personal interaction and posture correction. She also enjoys sharing the medical benefits of postures during her class.
Favorite Posture
Fix Firm pose. This posture helps with the joint pain of the knees and hips. Maggie feels relaxed and peaceful, "like a heavenly gift" when she is in this posture.
Least Favorite Posture
Standing Head to Knee pose. Maggie has sciatica on her right side. She is still in the healing process and struggles a little when touching her forehead to knee.
