Carol

My name is Carol Ip. I was born and raised in Hong Kong. I have always been active since I was young. Also, an avid outdoor enthusiast, you can see me biking to the studio as well as hiking the Grouse Grind on a regular basis. I was introduced to Bikram Yoga by my girlfriend who knew that I love to take up a physical challenge. I have been practicing Bikram Yoga since February 2002, and there was no turning back. After two years of consistent practice, I decided to take the Teacher Training. I graduated in the summer of 2004 at the Bikram headquarters in Los Angeles. In September 2006, a bicycle accident put my life on hold, but I continuously practiced my yoga and my body was completely transformed. Teaching Bikram Yoga is my choice of service to help others. I want to share the gifts of this powerful practice with as many as people as possible and inspire them to be a better yogi. Namaste

Teaching Style

Teaching Style is to focus on discipline and to encourage students to do the correct form for each posture.

Favorite Posture

Standing Head to Knee Pose: It is the one posture which combines strength, flexibility and endurance for the full 60 seconds. It is the most challenging posture to master in the Yoga Competition.

Least Favorite Posture

Full Locust: It requires lots of flexibility in the spine to hold the posture and the one I need the most.
