Angela

Angela attended her first Bikram yoga class in Richmond BC in 2009. She was amazed at how apparent the changes were in her body, mind and spirit with only one month of consistent practice from her first class. Since then, she has diligently practiced while studying at U of T in Ontario. As a student who specializes in Biology, she is particularly fascinated by the tremendous health benefits that people of all ages seek through regularly practicing Bikram yoga. She continuously finds herself inspired from all the supportive, positive and caring yogis that she meets within the yoga community. She believes that anyone can find a second home away from home, at any Bikram yoga studio around the world. With little contemplation, she decided to attend Teacher Training in April 2011 in Los Angeles. Thank you!

Teaching Style

Encouraging, concise with emphasis on the correct set up and form of each posture.

Favorite Posture

Hands to Feet pose is my absolute favourite! This pose comes early in the series, allowing me to feel the lengthening of my spine, tremendous stretching feeling down my legs; it is a beautiful 360 degree stretching pose right from the beginning! I come out of the pose feeling completely relaxed, rejuvenated and energized for the rest of the class!

Least Favorite Posture

Locust Pose continues to challenge me every time I practice. It is both a struggle to lift my legs off the floor and to continue breathing through it all. This is the beauty of the practice - there is always something to work on!
